What’s a Billboard?

The Billboard Primer

A Billboard is a snapshot of a potential deal which includes all of the info investors need to know about a startup. We’ve arranged these data points into a quick to understand format.

The Data Points:

  • Company Name and Logo

  • Verticals: What verticals define the company’s market

  • Location: Company headquarters

  • Type of round being raised: Priced, Note, Safe, Debt

  • Round Size: Dollar amount

  • % Committed: How much of the round is currently spoken for

  • Revenue: Trailing 12 months revenue

  • Lifetime Raised: How much has the company raised to date

  • Badges: Lead investor, Accelerator, Post Revenue, Round Stage (pre-seed, seed, A, etc),

Back of Billboards

Clicking a Billboard will cause it to flip over, revealing a set of actions.

For every Billboard a user may choose to:

  • View Deck - A startups deck is always in one place so no need to keep re-downloading the same file.

  • Add to Portfolio: We’ll keep track of your portfolio companies for you!

  • Follow: Maybe now isn’t the right time to invest but you want to keep an eye on a startup. Just click Follow and we’ll store it for later, but we’ll also keep you up to date on any new happenings.

  • Pass: Passing on a deal sends it to your Graveyard where we keep all of the companies you’ve said No to.

  • Share: Whether on or off Outpost you can share a deal with a click of a button. No need to write extensive emails.

That’s it. Now you know what goes into a Billboard.
